2023 Wyjup Collection Pinot Noir

Fruit parcels selected from the Rocky Horror vineyard (777 Clone).

Vibrant ruby red. Nose of cherry liqueur, red plum, rose petal and baking spices. A hint of forest floor and savoury oak. The palate is supple and textural, with silky tannins, warming spice and a core of ripe red fruits. Structurally masculine with depth, spice and a fine tannin frame.

This is a serious, cellar-worthy Pinot with a 7-10 year drinking window.

96 points - "The colour is brilliant with a crimson red-pink colour. It was a slightly cooler vintage than previous vintages. About 30% whole bunches have been included, and then a week of cold soaking before being left to ferment with wild yeasts. There is a nice sour cherry and strawberry aroma here, and it’s had about 24% new oak. The palate is seamlessly integrated, but there is tannin here and that high natural acidity to carry the palate forward. This is a wine with structure and purpose. "- Ray Jordan Wine
