2020 Plantagenet 'Normand' Pinot Noir
Varietal nose, cherry, blue fruits, earthy spice, savoury, toasty notes and pretty floral notes. A palate that is savoury, earth and spice, soft notes of red fruit, truffle, complex oak-derived spice, texture and complexity derived from whole bunch fermentation. The elegant structure and fine acidity give brightness and length.
95 Points - "Elegantly poised and complex, showing spiced cherry, dark mushroom, toasted nut, tapenade and floral aromas on the nose. The refined palate offers ripe fruit intensity and persistency combined with multi-layered mouthfeel and fine tannins, leading to a lengthy delicately dry finish. At its best: now to 2030." - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, April 2021.

90 Points - "Deepish red/purple, excellent colour, with a bouquet that is a little quiet at this stage but has very good underlying aromas, suggesting ripe cherry, autumn leaves and forest floor. The wine is medium-bodied, with good intensity and quite firm tannins, leaving a cleansing finish. A touch of raspberry bonbons. An appetising wine that promises to unfold more after a little more time in the bottle. Very good—and serious value for money." - Huon Hooke, The Real Review, March 2021
91 Points - "This is a light, bright and elegant pinot with fresh red cherries, raspberries and sappy notes. Plenty of fresh raspberries and blood-orange fruit on the palate. Finishes lithe and fresh." - Nick Stock, JamesSuckling.com
