2018 Three Lions Shiraz
Lifted aromatics of mulberry and violet floral anise, black pepper and iodine. The palate is firm, even tannins, plush and dense with blue fruits, plum, spicy charry oak, cardamom, nutmeg and a subtle savouriness. Good fresh acid gives a brooding lingering finish.
Perfect for home entertaining, pair this with lamb burgers and tzatziki.
Double Gold - Sakura Awards, Japan
92 points (+ Top Value) - "Lifted spice and blue fruit aromas, there's some dried herb action as well. Bright and youthful flavours of blueberries and spice, it's a mid-weighted wine driven by a core of pure fruit and balanced out very nicely with firm tannins and a decent drive of acid." - Aaron Brasher, The Real Review
Silver Medal - "Dark crimson. Deep mulberry fruit with cinnamon spice. Palate rich and concentrated with firm, grippy tannins." - 2021 International Wine Challenge
92 points - "This is sweetly ripe and elegantly perfumed, showing Black Doris plum, clove, vanilla and roasted nut aromas on the nose, followed by a flavoursome palate displaying fleshy texture and silky tannins. At its best: now to 2028." - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, April 2021.
91 points - Ray Jordan, WA Wine Guide 2022
